Mount Rushmore

We had a great Labor Day! We headed out right after church Sunday for the Black Hills of South Dakota. We drove through Custer State Park. We were all a little bit car sick but it was well worth it to see all of the animals. At the end of the park we went through a tunnel and there was Rushmore. Very cool! It was a short trip but we packed a lot in and before heading home we stopped for dinner and the guys tried buffalo burgers! Custer State Park - South Dakota
The animals were spectacular!

Somewhere over the rainbow...
The Black Hills

Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Lincoln. We arrived at Mount Rushmore shortly before the evening lighting ceremony. It was a very patriotic program and we left feeling very grateful for our country and the flag that represents our freedoms. At the conclusion they had veterans, active military and family of lost soldiers come down. It was a neat moment and we pray that God will continue to bless America!

Tuckered out...

Crazy Horse - If and when it is ever completed it will be amazing. Mount Rushmore's Heads can fit within Crazy Horses Head alone! CRAZY!
